Second Gear began in West Asheville, and has been the local neighborhood consignment gear shop for over ten years. They opened their doors for business in the spring of 2004 in what is now part of Harvest Records’ expanded store space. Shortly thereafter, they moved across the street to 444 Haywood road. Now, they fully reside in the River Arts District at 99 Riverside Drive in a shared space with Asheville Adventure Company and Sugar and Snow Gelato.
